About the designer


Harmony Lindstrom is a versatile theatre maker with a love for lighting design; the former technical director of the student-run Black Box theater at Vassar College, Harmony helped revive the theater after its renovation in the spring of 2020. They managed between 8-12 shows in a three-month season (about one every week). These shows ranged from dance shows to circus performances, to fully realized student theatrical productions. 

Harmony is also a skilled designer and carpenter. Favorite credits include lighting designing for a production of Sarah Treem’s When We Were Young and Unafraid last spring and lighting designing for a production of Mary Zimmerman’s Scenes from Metamorphoses in Fall 2021. As a current carpenter for Trinity Repertory Company in Rhode Island, Harmony is involved directly in the set building process for all six shows this season including Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol and Pearl Cleage’s Blues for an Alabama Sky. Also this spring at the Barker Playhouse, Harmony will be lighting designing for productions of Stephen Sondheim’s Into the Woods, and Jaclyn Backhaus’ You on the Moors Now.
